What is the Via MCP?

The Via MCP turns your team's extended network into something your AI assistant can use on demand. Ask "who's my warmest path into Stripe?" or "score these 50 accounts by warm-path strength" inside Claude or ChatGPT, and Via answers in seconds — right alongside the other tools you've connected (your CRM, prospecting stack, call recorder). No tab-switching, no CSV exports, no guessing who knows whom. Warm-path intelligence shows up in the same chat where you're already doing the work, so warm-first becomes the default motion instead of an extra step.

Does Via MCP work with both Claude and ChatGPT?

Yes. The connector is the same — Via AI — and runs in either host. Once enabled, you ask Via questions in plain English and the assistant calls Via's tools the same way it calls any other connector you've turned on.

Should I use Via MCP in Claude chat or Claude Cowork?

Both work, but we recommend Cowork for any workflow that touches more than one connector. Claude chat is great for quick, single-tool lookups — "who's my warmest path into Stripe?" — and the answer comes back inline. Cowork is the right surface when you're chaining tools: pulling a list from Apollo, scoring it with Via, pushing it to HubSpot, queueing the rest into outreach. The agentic workspace handles multi-step tool calls more reliably and gives you a clean audit trail of what each connector did. Rule of thumb: one question, use chat; a workflow, use Cowork.

How is Via MCP different from the Via web app?

Same core capabilities — multi-target pathfinding, connector ranking, intro requests — just on different surfaces. The Via web app is a polished, purpose-built UI for those workflows. The Via MCP lives inside Claude or ChatGPT, so the UX is naturally different: you're in a chat, asking in plain English, and the assistant calls Via's tools to answer. The real unlock with the MCP is what sits next to it — your CRM, prospecting tool, call recorder, outreach platform are all one connector away, which makes it easy to compose full GTM workflows on the fly. The MCP is for the AI tinkerer: the rep, ops person, or founder who wants to wire warm paths into the rest of their stack without leaving the chat.

How is Via MCP different from the Via Chrome extension?

Same warm-path data, different surface. The Chrome extension shows warm paths inline on LinkedIn and your CRM — useful when you're already there. The MCP connector lets you ask warm-path questions in Claude or ChatGPT and compose them with every other tool you've connected: pull a target list, find the warm paths, draft the intro, push back to the CRM, all in one chat.
